MCS is looking for a Major Account Manager to join its team, to oversee the relationships of an assigned client portfolio of accounts, responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term customers by comprehending their requirements. The Major Account Major will also be responsible for brand new client business development in alignment with the business needs and strategies.
The Major Account Manager has the ability to identify the needs and requirements of the customer to promote the Company’s approach to solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction for both parties; the goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing MCS to achieve long-term success.
About MCS
McIntyre Compliance Services is a trusted compliance safety company carrying out tests / services to make sure customers properties are safe and meet current legislations. We currently maintain, service and repair over 70000 housing association and local authority properties across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of major clients to maintain engagement and ongoing collaboration.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, creating action plans and achievable timescales to manage expectations and delivery.
- Expand the trusted relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives and benefit MCS.
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner through agreed communication platforms.
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal customer contract teams, creating a transparent and open communication channel for both parties to work towards.
- Play an integral part in the Commercial team in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting business relationships.
- Addressing customer complaints in coordination with the management team within Operations and Commercial department to reach resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
- Attending customer meetings with assigned contracts along with the Commercial department, as required.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Proactiveness and effective leadership of non-direct report to drive for results, ensuring the customers will consistently be given high-quality service and that MCS meets company targets.
- Strengths in problem-solving and negotiation to meet the desired outcome without compromising relationships.
- Commercially-minded - knowing when to pursue avenues of work to benefit both the customer and MCS.
- Proactive in processes to be a forward-thinker to meet the needs of the customer, taking ownership when issues arise and knowing who is appropriate to involve to resolve.
- Creative and innovative towards new ways of working with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Assist the Head of Key Accounts in devising and implementing the regional sales strategy, budget and action plans to include strategic marketing, competitor analysis and promotion of MCS’s value proposition.
- The development of a wide range of new business streams identified within the business’s Sales Strategy.
- Cross-selling additional services wherever possible.
- Record and maintain accurate CRM data and use to produce sales pipelines and report activity to support with commercial forecasting
- Assist in the delivery of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Assist in the development of estimating strategies, quoting and the provision of schedules of rates etc.
- Assist the Bid Team in tendering and delivery of bid submissions, interviews and presentations.
In return for your commitment and expertise, you will get:
- A base salary between £40,000 - £ 45,000 depending on experience,
