Job role: Fire Supervisor
Salary: £40,000 – £43,000
The Fire Supervisor at MCS will support the contracts across the Fire sector of the business, oversee a team of engineers and facilitate the Health & Safety procedures and requirements within the contract, whilst providing technical advice to both our employees and customers.

MCS is a leading national supplier of fire safety, security and electrical services for the Social Housing sector. The business has won a number of new contracts and is looking for experienced engineers to carry out installs, testing, inspection, and repairs as part of our existing, skilled team. Progression, learning and ensuring the safety of tenants is our primary concern so attention to detail, communication and taking pride in your work is all essential.
You will be expected to:
- Line Management of engineers within region
- Delivering post audit inspections on completed works to ensure they are within the required industry standard
- Having a Health and Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with works to be carried out and reporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of self and others.
- Be on hand to support your team as well as office staff and clients with technical advice
- Deliver regular toolbox talks to your team, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest advice and safety.
- Delivering on-site visits and surveys prior to any work being carried out in a timely manner, providing detailed assessments of required works and feedback to the relevant management teams (Contract Manager, Operations Manager, Technical Manager or Estimating team).
- Stock control and supply of materials via wholesaler stores to engineers, undertaking regular stock takes and checking against consignment stock sheets.
- Liaising with the Service Delivery Manager – Fire to gain feedback on works carried out and eliminate the likelihood of any concerns
- Delivering general repairs and reactive works where required
- Addressing areas of concern as raised by clients, identifying areas of improvement and implementing measures to address and resolve, eliminating the likelihood of the concern reoccurring.
- Being a brand ambassador for McIntyre Compliance Services, taking ownership of the standards of delivered works
- Working to first call resolution and eliminating the need for a second attendance
The ideal candidate for a Fire Supervisor role at MCS will have:

Experience / Education
Essential:
- A track record of managing others
- FIA units 1, 4 and 5 (or equivalent)
- A solid background in maintenance and fault finding
- Full UK driving license
Desirable:
- Experience in Warden Call, Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarms
- Experience of working in the social housing sector
