Role: Field Line Manager - Projects 

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum 

Location: London / South-East - within 30 mins of home address, any travel beyond that will be paid.

 

MCS is recruiting for skilled Field Line Manager to take responsibility for ensuring that all site operations within the Projects department are being carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working alongside the Operations Manager and other Field Line Managers, it is the Projects field line Manager’s job to make sure projects are delivered from start to finish providing guidance to site based staff and providing feedback from site.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Having a Health and Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of self and others.
  • To ensure all works start with RAMS and job descriptions.
  • To provide pre-start assessments of sites, where needed.
  • Carry out inductions. Communicate asbestos survey reports findings and any site-specific instructions such as parking, vulnerability of tenants and all aspects of health and safety to site staff.
  • To provide continuous risk assessments and amend RAMS as required during the course of works.
  • To carry out health and safety audits and provide one to one feedback with engineers and staff, liaising with the Health and Safety Business Partner as and when required.
  • Inspections of tools, PPE and associated equipment needed to carry out works.
  • Ensure good site housekeeping and safe working practices.
  • Ensure sites are completed and cleared to customer satisfaction.
  • Weekly reports will be required to be provided to the Operational Director on all sites managed and inspected.
  • To attend site and office meetings, as required, to provide updates and feedback.
  • To provide leadership to engineers with effective time management and efficiency, including inducted new engineers onto site.
  • To be an ambassador for the company and promote the MCS name.
  • Handover installations and provide system demonstrations.
  • Complete stock takes of equipment at the start and end of a project job.
  • Uploading RAMS to customer share files.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents under guidance of the health and safety business partner.
  • Push near miss reporting from site staff.
  • Carry out toolbox talks.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must possess a recognised health and safety qualification such as SMSTS.
  • Must have a proven track record in managing engineers and site coordination.
  • Competent level of Electrical and Fire Alarm Installation knowledge.
  • Construction Industry Knowledge and operating safe working practices.
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A good level of IT literacy
