The role
The Electrical Qualified Supervisor will work within our QS team to provide post site audit inspections and checking of certification on completed works to ensure they meet the requirements of BS7671 and the NICEIC. Working closely with the Contract Manager and operations team in providing efficient and quality certification checks.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
● Delivering post audit inspections and certifications on completed works to ensure they are within the required industry standard.
● Provide detailed information about any remedial works required. ● Having a Health and Safety mindset, looking at possible associated risks and reporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of self and others. ● Alongside our Site Supervisor, provide support and mentor engineers where required. ● Excellent customer liaison, attending regular site audits with our clients, if required.
The ideal candidate for a Qualified Supervisor at MCS will have: ● Been a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor in a previous role. ● A solid understanding of Inspection, testing, verification, certifications, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken. ● Good understanding of electrical contracting business ideally 5yrs in similar role ● Meet the full criteria for the current Electrotechnical Assessment Scheme requirements. ● Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, recognised apprenticeship, 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing. ● Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport within a team. ● Creative and innovative towards new ways of working with a continuous improvement mindset. ● Understanding the importance of communication and delivering results through KPIs. ● Current experience of EV charging and Solar (PV), an advantage.
